What happens to my details?

We respect the privacy of all our customers. We promise not to pass on your details to anyone else and we will only use them to keep in touch with you ourselves. We all know here at Bakestore how angry we would be if someone did this to us so you can rest assured that we will never do that to you.

Is it safe to use my credit or debit card to pay Bakestore?

We are very concerned with the security of your card details and so we use Worldpay or PayPal for the entire transaction. Worldpay are a large global organization (www.worldpay.com) and handle nearly half of all the card transactions undertaken in the UK. Here at Bakestore we never see or retain any of your card details and the whole payment is processed on a secure encrypted website run by Worldpay or PayPal. They have all the latest security protection procedures to make sure your payment is handled safely, securely and reliably every time.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

In addition we have been audited to ensure that our site meets the highest levels of security protection and to confirm that we are PCI-DSS compliant.

How much is the postage & packaging? 

Orders for £40 or more of great baking products from us will be sent to your UK mainland delivery address for free. Unfortunately for smaller orders we cannot afford to do this for free and we have to make a small charge of just £3.99 for P&P. 

If you need your new stuff delivered to somewhere outside of the UK mainland or EU then please contact us first on 01273 858656 or by email to shop@bakestore.co.uk so we can find the best way at the best price for you. 

When will my order arrive? 

We know it’s really annoying when you order something and then have to wait ages for it to arrive. At bakestore.co.uk we only show things on the site that we either have in stock (truly on the shelf – we promise!) or that we have actually on the way to us from the supplier (a confirmed order in transit).  

We won’t tell you we have something here or on the way to us that we don’t as that’s not fair. 

This means in most cases than when we get your order we will post it out to you the next working day. So if all goes to plan you should have your exciting new bits and pieces in two or three working days and you can get baking or making! 

Of course, sometimes things don’t go as speedily as they should and so we ask you to allow up to five working days. If there is some reason why your order might take longer than this then we will do our best to let you know. 

What if my new stuff arrives broken? 

That’s really upsetting. We always check everything carefully when we are packing it up to send to you to try and make sure this never happens. Sometimes though accidents can happen and very rarely something does get broken on its way to you. Just let us know straight away on 01273 858656 or by email to shop@bakestore.co.uk and we will get a replacement on its way without delay. 

What if I’m not happy with my things?

We’d be really sorry to hear that. We only stock things that we have tried and that we like and which we truly believe are good value. However, if you are not happy with your new baking equipment and it is still in the original packaging and in good condition then please just return to us for a refund. We will return the cost of the item to you but we cannot cover any delivery charges. Our address for returns is:

How can I place my order?

The website has been designed to be easy to use and should be the simplest and most efficient way to order great new baking products for all your home baking and making projects. If you would prefer to speak to us then we would love to hear from you and take your order details on 01273 858656.

How is the pricing done on the website?

All the prices shown are in sterling and include VAT. We try hard to make sure that all our information is up to date and correct but we are only human and so something might go wrong. If we make a mistake then we reserve the right to cancel an order. We will of course let you know as soon as possible and refund any order where a pricing error has happened.

What if I can’t find what I’m looking for?

We are always on the lookout for new products so we would be really grateful if you could let us know of anything you are searching for that we don’t have. We are more than happy to speak to our suppliers and see if we can get something special or unique for you too.
